During 1997 and 1998 MusicsystemM recorded various animals, mainly in Africa, India and Denmark. these recordings were cut up and put on vinyl in such a way that they are ideal for scratchers to use as a tool, 'animal scratching.' these tracks were recorded live as a collaboration of L?K?O using that scratch record and MusicsystemM supplying premade minimal midi beats from a laptop at XP in Tokyo, Feb.1999, an event organized by Cha-Bashira and ¿Los Apson?. MusicsystemM is the music project of the Danish artist group Superflex in collaboration with August Engkilde (www.superflex.dk). L?K?O is one of the most important and active turntablists in Tokyo.
