demo policy :

we're continually looking for new material and hold to the philosophy that the best sounds being made are often by unknown artists.

we listen to all materials sent in for consideration (for the artist series, compilations, webshop additions, distribution) and will make every effort to respond personally to each submission. please understand that this can take a while. sometimes we are overwhelmed and do not have the time to properly reply to all demo submissions. after a few weeks feel free to email us a reminder.

if we decide we can't support your project at this time it doesn't mean that we don't care. you can always try us again!


how to submit

• write an email to demo@illegalart.net with the subject "demo (your name)"
• include links to your best 1-4 mp3/aac files, ranked in order of importance.
• entire albums are fine, but please still rank the top tracks.
• include a link to album artwork or packaging images if you have this.
• briefly tell us how and why you made this music.
• who are a few of your main musical influences?
• where do you see yourself going musically in the near future?
• which albums (not yours or ours) are you most impressed by lately?
• anything else we should know?
